This was a fun year for Halloween. This was the first year Beau 'got it' and we practiced saying "trick or treat" for weeks! He loved all of my Halloween decorations and he understood the excitement leading up to the big day. I made him mummy dogs for dinner and once Mark got home from work (and we took the necessary pictures), we set off to find some candy!
Beau loves reading before bed and recently he's been into Curious George. I knew I only had a few years of coordinating costumes between Davis and Beau so I seized the opportunity to make them into Curious George and the man in the yellow hat! We thought Beau might be jealous and want to be George (because he's the star, obviously) but he got on board and now whenever we read the book he points to each character and tells us George is 'bubba' and the man in the yellow hat is Beau.
He's already too cool to take a picture in front of the door for me!
This was our first year trick or treating in our neighborhood so we went to a few houses to get the lay of the land.
It just took one house giving him candy for him to really get the hang of it. He wasn't shy at all and he knew exactly what to say!
We were walking down the street and saw our new neighbors come out to start trick or treating. They have a 4 year old and she looked at Beau and told her mom "Look, mom, he's a crayon!!!!" hahaha
After exploring our neighborhood early on, we headed over to Courtney and Jimmy's house to trick or treat their very active neighborhood and hang out with family. (I stole all of these photos from my sister because she does a much better job capturing these moments than I do!)
Beau (2), Bella (15 months), Noah (8), Audrey (5)
...and Davis, 3 months. :)
Nana and Pandy with all of their grandchildren
Beau decided to trade in his monkey for an older model. This was Henry, almost 1, dressed like a monkey as well!
We ended the night after Beau trick or treated with the big kids and was a total trooper! We had so much fun this Halloween, we can hardly wait until next year!
